Early draft thoughts

The NFL Combine begins this week in Indianapolis and it's a big week for several players with ties to the area.

NFL Network's Mike Mayock has former Evangel star Jacob Hester ranked as his No. 1 fullback in the draft. Unfortunately for Hester, fullback translates into mid-round draft pick.

Mayock has LSU linebacker Ali Highsmith ranked as his No. 5 outside linebacker in the draft. Early Doucet is the No. 5 wide receiver according to Mayock and Glenn Dorsey is the No. 2 defensive tackle.

USC quarterback John David Booty of Shreveport isn't ranked among the top five quarterback prospects by Mayock.
